Sea Gardening
at the Wharf Hub

Our goal is to provide comfortable clean accommodation and a meaningful stay experience.
Master's Room

Original 'Masters Room' with comfortable queen bed, antique furnishings, historic pictures with commanding views to the wharf and estuary.
You can watch the mussel barges coming and going undertaking sea farming operations.
With the sundowner deck right outside the room you can also take in the sunset and stars.
Binoculars provided.
Please note our house accommodation is shared accommodation. For greater privacy check out our 'Boat House'.
Other Berths

Our themed 'Boat House' offers a more private sleep out situation with a double bed and adjoining small lounge with TV. Cooking facilities and bathroom are close by or use the facilities in the main house.
Many people prefer to stay in stand alone local Opotiki Accommodation.
There's plenty around, check Air BnB, local Motels or Opotiki Holiday Park Motel Units, all just a stones throw away.
Campervans Welcome

Many find the 'Wharf Hub' on a popular free phone app called 'CamperMate'.
You can use this app to make an overnight booking or phone us and book directly.
The Wharf Hub can comfortably accommodate up to two campervans at a time with off road parking.
We have good wifi, drinking water hose and power available.
The rear 'light house' deck area provides a shower, toilet, cooking and eating area.
A clothes washing machine, fish filleting bench and more useful facilities are also to be found on the property.
Included in your overnight stay fee is the short guided walk and introductory talk on the principles behind 'Sea Gardening' and the development of the Opotiki Community Reef. (Koha Value $40 per person)
Departure time is 10am unless you are also enrolled on one of our workshops.
