Catchy Conversation

A news item on TV caught my attention last Saturday but I couldn't find it again on TVNZ Online. I recall the jist of the item was that the fisher women's father had died and the art of fishing that he had passed on to his daughter proved excellent therapy and a connection.

She remarked that when fishing with others, conversation on all sorts of topics just seems to flow in a very non-judgmental way, and that anything said stays there. It's as though its an unspoken accepted part of fishing. Whether white baiting on the river or out in a boat, it certainly aligns with my fishing experiences too.

Whether it's fishing, a knitting circle or MenZ Shed, perhaps its the talk sharing that is the real catch of the day.
